That Graham Norton ep. was funny, that red wine so affected Mark Wahlberg eh?

Today I have been pottering, just had lunch and now about to have a go at connecting up new printer.

Re: What did you do today?

spent a fun day on a hospital trolly.

up for 5 to be at hospital at 7 to be done in morning to allow for me getting home today. didnt find me a bed till after 1. procedure which was 3 injections into my tail bone took all of 3 minutes but ward staff refused to come back and collect me from theatre so I spent 3 hrs waiting in the HDU bay (which I didnt have a hospital need for) opted not to have the put to sleepy jag so that I could get home. they wouldnt let me travel in a chair to help breathing, wouldnt allow my mum to come to carry vent, even though other family members where let into HDU and theatre transfer ward.. the ward staff to be fair where short staffed but I think it was spite. My mother was worried sick and asked several times over the 3hrs what was happening and the said I wasnt ready. the theatre nurses phoned the ward every 15 min and I heard them ask that my mum be notifed so that my lift home could be arranged.

None of the ward staff could have cared less, tried several times to advise about vent and that someone would need to carry it. and no disabled toilets on ward was handed a bed pan  this was an ortho ward the ladies either side got new hips.

Today I realised the importance of an alarm service. Fell cos I overdid it in my physio exercises and my muscles were like jelly so I couldnt get up. Instead of waiting for my legs to feel normal again (very long shot) I pulled the orange cord – my phone was on charge in my bedroom, may as well have been miles away. 2 lovely people came and got me on the magic cushion which made my 2nd attempt to get back in my chair much easier. Have to say I was lucky I hadnt locked my front door yet! Guess I’ll have to get used to the fact this will get more frequent, not less. :?

I’d write a formal complaint and follow it through right to the top. That is unacceptable. Shameful you had to go through that on top of worrying about the reason you’re in the hospital in the first place!

    What about second breakfast?

Today I went out in the sun, just for a cruise. Very misleading that bright sun & blue sky was though cos my legs were bloody f-f-freezing :) .

Ah he was so obnoxious!! I doubt it was the wine…he only had a few sips! Maybe he started early?

I had my first ever filling at the dentist today…wasn’t half as bad as everyone was making out! Twas just very noisy…

Shaved me head, trimmed me stubble, watched Skyfall & drank a welcome pre-chilled present bottle of Newcastle brown ale.

Is this thread like the twitter of the MD forum :D ?

Today I’ve been happy as something I’ve been helping with got reported in one of the nationals – this is quite an event when you work in Social Policy.

Just been into town with my Mum and Sister to see Sister’s wedding dress. Next step -me finding shoes and getting dress made, am joint head bridesmaid!

That sounds like a good day! Keep us posted re the dress [what colour/style etc.]!

Today I’ve done most of my ESA questionnaire. Typed some of the answers so I could fit all that I wanted to say in the boxes. Didn’t go out as it’s utterly freezing here on the south coast.

Re: What did you do today?

Today I had a good complain at the surgery as the nurse inflicted my regular pain.

I failed to buy tickets for a gig that I wanted to go to.

I spent ages image searching for a publication with varying degrees of success.

I got phoned several times by one of those dodgy-sounding “energy saving” firms.

I checked the weather forecast and confirmed that I’m probably going to freeze my bits off watching the England-France international at Twickenham tomorrow.

But hey, it’s Friday. Drink and curry later. So not a bad day.

Got four tubs of crickets and one tub of waxworms from the livefoods shop and found my purse that I lost – it was at the lost property dept. of my local shopping centre (my passport was still in there thankfully!!)
