Re: What did you do today?

    Hi All!

Its nit exactly today but i was too tired to post before.
This weekend I went to Vfest!!! :music:
It was brilliant! Knackering but an experience.
I went with my two daughters who are also affected, my mum & friends.
I can recommend the facilities for disabled access, everyone was sooo helpful and really made it special.
    Has anyone else been?
The only regret was that I didn’t have my spangly new wheelchair instead I had to use a small inadequate scooter, something i don’t recommend :nono: , off road tyres would be even better lol!

    All the best Michelle :waving:

Today I have spent my time reading through this fantastic forum. There are some interesting topics on here. I hope to make some new friends on here too. Its good to chat to people who are going through the same thing, who I can ask advice and also maybe offer some wisdom of my own!

Have a lovely evening everyone :)

Awe shucks  you’re gonna make us all blush

It’s early as yet [9.30], my BFF is flying down from Aberdeen to stay for just over a week, Tesco is delivering a truck load of treats later. BFF landed just after 8 but some ‘Herbert on the notorious but of straight road has caused it to be closed so it is the longer scenic route for her [Big Sis and BroInLaw are picking her up], I am twitching and flinching with excitement every time a car comes near!!

Today I have mostly been taking out enemies on Metal Gear Solid 5 & every time I aim I think of IDS, cameron & osborne. My aim is surprisingly good as a result.

And I wasn’t using eggs

Didn’t notice many police snipers at the Labour conference last week in Brighton, did you ? I didn’t notice many of their candidates being protected behind walls of steel either.

    Very odd.

I have to say I have had an interesting day so far. Sent off weather reports, let off steam to a hospital Chief Executive about abuse of a disabled person, and now I am trying to process some images.
Big problem. I have a large furball of a cat sat on my graphics tablet and I have a much smaller feathered ball sat on my shoulder as I am looking after my number seven child’s baby chicken they brought home from work!
Well I may be able to get some work done soon, if not I will just have to have a pyjama day instead!!!!

    Best wishes

Well today I was swallowed up by my bed!! It has taken on a mind of its own and kept on going when I stopped pressing the button to operate the side tilt. I was squashed somewhat awkwardly in the middle.

Last week I had a battery on the verge of catching alight – my equipment is trying to do me in :o

I’ve sent off my weather report today too! Are you doing this for the BBC Weather Watchers, Mike?

Sorry for the late reply been putting things back together after the power outage. yes I am doing it for Weatherwatchers. I have a couple of weather stations I built and I have been keeping records since 1992. Encroaching FHSD has made me ensure that they are almost disability proof (long story) whilst at the same time encouraging me every morning to make the effort to climb steps and do the weather readings . More info is available if anyone is interested, but I wholeheartedly believe that watching and measuring the weather and contributing the weather details to Weatherwatchers or others means that almost any disabled person can make a real contribution to our weather knowledge. I cannot work so this is my bit to help the human condition.

Snow? Good grief, not something we have seen here in a very long time. But my sincere understanding though. I had a similar experience, although not as bad, when the inside lift failed during the power cuts. three days on the couch coz I couldn’t get to bed. Had to share that with two cats as well. Hope it wasnt too long to get it going again for you.
