Buy your magazines and books and read them on many devices. Kindle is not the only option.

Last month bought a yearly subscription to one of my computer magazine for $ 11.99, that is way
less than £ 1 a copy. Obviously there is no printing and delivery costs so the things can be
a lot cheaper.

You can access and read your publications on iPad, iPhone, Android, Laptop, PC.

Also there are lots of free articles and magazines and for some reason they keep sending
me free credits to spend. There are expensive publications where they make up their profit
so it is best to pick and choose.

They’ve laid off so many concepts but only brought in a few new ones recently. If you haven’t already signed up, go check out the Google Maps Beta – very odd at first but pretty cool (even if it’s a tad slow).

They had made such a mess of the maps. I hope this will solve it.

Superb Health Free Health App that monitors and aids your nutrition.

It has a massive online database of virtually any food product that you can buy with full details
of all the nutritional and calorific content. A new feature is a QRS scanner the scans the barcode
from any packaging and adds the full manufacturers specifications. If you only ate 5/8 of your
meal you can tell it and it will calculate the values for you.

Through the day it adds everything together and shows you what you are doing and what you
should be doing with regard to your health. It even asks how much water I drink and tells me
each of my Jakeman’s throat losenges is 26 calories. It asks about your exercise and lifestyle
and factors in how much of the food value that burns off. It learns your favourite foods and meals
and when you eat them and makes suggestions. You can add your own complete meal combinations
which are then added to any day in a second.

You periodically add weight and a few measurements and tell it what you are trying to achieve or
maintain and it shows you constantly how you are doing and what you need to do. In my case it is
trying to get to my target of 1900 calories a day. I am guided to the higher calorie but healthy options
and am able to maintain my weight as much as is humanly possible. When I am below target I can
“Pig out” and force myself to eat high calorie stuff or fortify foods for the rest of the day.

It obviously works in the same way if you want to lose weight.

Loads of graphs, pie charts and notifications. Very good App.
