I wasn’t sure which category to put this in as it is an important aspect of health as well but I am interested to find out what people have been doing to take their mind off things, keep connected with people…
A few things I have done so far:
1. A daily crossword
2. Multiplayer game app
3. Daily diary in my mobile notes
4. Setting quizzes for family and friends and attending my regular quiz which has now changed to a virtual one.
5. A virtual tea party with my nephews.
6. Watching free past-recorded theatre performances on YouTube
7. “Zooming” friends
8. Listening to my favourite podcasts.
9. Finding new things to watch.
10. Limiting my social media and news programmes.I’m finding routine is more important than ever.
How about you?

Life has to carry on with basic stuff like feeding all the creatures I am responsible for. Cats, fish, chickens, my dad’s cat and of course the wild birds. Thats a good chunk of the morning gone. But now I am doing all the things that I needed to do but have never had the time. Cleaning out my office, cleaning out all the old web links in the computer, shredding old bank statements, planting a few seeds and watching less TV. I have a lot of reading to catch up on too . So much to get done before all this ends and its back to reality.

1 Keeping to a routine of getting up about same time in the morning and doing a spot of exercise and boccia to keep conditioning up, which usually fills the morning up till lunch time.
2 Reading for an hour in afternoon which normally leads to a pre diner nap.
3 Aim next week to reduce snacking
4 Doing the online grocery shop. Often need to pop in and out to catch the slots for delivery.
5 Finished off a couple of craft projects,
6 Have popped onto social media but trying to limit this
7 Keeping connected with friends and family via txt and emailApril 10, 2020 at 8:17 pm #187178Reply To: What are you doing to keep upbeat?Doing the spring cleaning before Autumn!
Taking cuttings in the garden because there are no new plants to buy even if we could get to the shops.
Going back to the 1700 calories a day diet… Rigidly. Have to make some good out of this.
Making a point not to worry about things. Worrying will not change anything.
