What are you doing differently during the lock down?

Thought this might be something of interest, if not now but when we look back in the future. Many of us are already confined to our homes, and thus it is no great change. For myself, my only two real reasons for going out namely treatment and drone flying are now gone, so what am I doing? Well I am trying to get to be a better drone pilot, this time on racing drones, and if that doesn’t work then its the turn of trying to teach myself to fly real aircraft using a simulator.
So what are you up to different or not?

With my normal routine of work and sports clubs being closed for the next 12 week or more I have being exercising in strict and regimented manor in order to keep well and strong enough when this is all over to return to my work and sport. I aim to keep a bit of structure and routine in my days by exercising with passive assisted stretches, Boccia drills and eating meals at set times during the day, so that I can freely relax at night without the days and evenings feeling terribly long.

Cable TVs not been very reliable, Had a clear out, Read a couple of books over the last week and have a few home hobby crafts in boxes I aim to start. Not too early to make Christmas cards is it? lol Keeping in touch with people more online and by phone than i normally do.

I am trying to develop a routine. I’ve started with half an hour of singing – good for the lungs and produces happy chemicals in my brain. I will try and do some Spanish practice each day as well. My Mum is moving in with me in the next few days so I am going to suggest we do a daily crossword – maybe against each other? Who knows! And I’m going to make sure I get out in the garden when I can.

Maybe I’ll get round to the family photograph sorting I’ve put off for about 10 years…

I am finding it harder during this lockdown. Not being able to get out in the garden is definitely a factor and the reduced daylight hours. Trying to be positive, I’ve set my nephews a weekly challenge then FaceTime them to see the results. So far they’ve done something arty with leaves they collected and a Guess the Sound quiz. Need an activity for this week – any ideas anyone?
