Hi
Wonder if anyone could give me their experiences of obtaining travel insurance with a muscle condition. I am going to visit friends abroad for New Year and had one hell of a hassle sorting my insurance and wondered if I was going wrong somewhere.
I was repeatedly declined or the very few who were prepared to consideration my application gave quotes of £1000 for very basic cover which did not include my condition.
Eventually had to sign up to a gold bank account which has a monthly subscription but has insurance as a benefit but still had to pay an extra premium to get my condition covered.
Think its dreadful how much people with medical conditions/disabilities are made to suffer when trying to live their life!!
Thoughts most welcome

Though I have to admit I found their quote for me for holiday travel insurance more expensive than I’d expected. And I was a bit surprised, when explaining to them my unusual diagnosis, that their system put me down as having Duchenne… at 52 years old at the time.
Anyway, if you want to have a look, they’re here: http://www.fishinsurance.co.uk/
