Despite several vaccines, I’ve come down with aching and low grade fever. Have tested positive for covid. I have LGMD 2i (R9). As yet, no known heart or lung issues. I shielded for ages.
Anyone else had covid? Positive or negative experiences?
Hello Pips. I have, it was a near fatal attack around Christmas this year. I went downhill because of my diabetes. That said, I am almost recovered now. I have very little lung function because of MD, but I got through happily using my ventilator as normal. You say you have no known heart and lung issues. Perhaps when it is over you might want to get that picture firmed up.
I would say pease do not worry. I am sure you will have good support at home, and there is so much more known about it now. If you find yourself getting worse please contact your GP. Yes there is no cure, but the overwhelming majority have been like you with low grade fever.
You also did not mention if you have had the vaccine. If you have it is quite intersting that you have now been given the vaccine.
Hi, so sorry to hear you were so poorly with it. I have had several vaccines. The first, and at least 2 boosters (I’ve lost track!). I now have headache and body aches. Fatigue. Feel slightly breathless, but it’s minimal. I do get heart and lung function checked. Not as often as I would like though.
It was not totally unexpected for me as I was told not to have the vaccine because of my health conditions. Like you I kept away from people as much as I could, but it did arrive. Just carry on being careful as the flu and covid season arrives.
