    Subject Access Requests

SAR’s or Subject Access Requests is the form/letter a claimant sends to the DWP for a copy of their personal records [computer based/clerical based or both]. I have today printed off and completed one form for each of my benefit [Incapacity Benefit and DLA]. I am hoping I can use the information they already have to show me where it needs up-dating in readiness for the inevitable reassessment.

They have 40 days from the receipt of my form to get the stuff to me.

We shall see how it goes …. will up-date here when there is news.

Got the letter from the DLA people today saying they got my letter/SAR request and that they are processing it and will send out the information within forty days of them receiving my request [15th March]. So that is about the 23rd April.

Not heard from the incap people yet :|

Only now, a month later do I see the importance
    of this. Thanks.
