    Hi Ranald,

I’m not going to the conference myself but from a campaigning perspective my colleague, Nic Bungay, will be running a campaigning workshop. It will also be interesting to hear what Nicola Sturgeon has to say in response to the Mackie Report published earlier in the week.

The FSH-MD Support Group UK will be at the Scottish Conference on Saturday, we’re keen to get a regional group going in Scotland so if you’re interested and want to find out more come over and say hello :)

    Hello guys.
I really enjoyed attending my first Scottish Conference at The Beardmore Hotel and i was very interested to hear from the Deputy First Minister, the publicity can only be a good thing!

I met the very colourful Andy Findlay, the Vice Chairman of FSH-MD Support Group UK, which allowed me to benefit from learning about another type of MD to my own. That was both informative and very interesting.

My 2 young daughters enjoyed the excellent creche that was provided and have taken away a couple of email addresses to keep in touch with their new friends.

It was quite galling to learn that MDC pulled in 5 million last year whilst a donkey charity was able to secure 22 million! it seems that we have our work cut out to promote ourselves to the general public, i would be interested in volunteering myself to help in any way i can so please let me know anyone, if that is possible.

    All the best, Ranald.

    Hi Ranald

I’m really glad you enjoyed the Scottish Conference – it was my first one and I thought it was a really fantastic day.

Great to hear that you’re interested in getting involved in volunteering as well. I’m the volunteer fundraising manager for the charity in Scotland and I’d be delighted to have a chat with you on ways you could get involved.

You can drop me an email at l.johnston@muscular-dystrophy.org or give me a call on 07801 047974.

Hope to speak to you soon!
