Picking a lasting mobility scooter

As I am sure you well know cheap may not often be the best option, neither is expensive. Clearly I would believe you have gone through all the things you will need from a scooter like range, portability, ground clearance, boot fit etc. When I bought my last scooter it took me almost six months to go through all the models and specs, and in the end I bought second hand. That may be a worry for some, but there are many pre owned scooters with little mileage that are advertised.
Buying new I have only experienced our local suppliers. In itself I would believe that is the best way to buy new as you can try before you buy and of course see before you buy. look at how well it goes together. you can talk about things like maintenance, battery swaps and charging, and of course have a local contact point if things go wrong.
I have had no dealings with the firm in the link you have provided and so personally cannot comment on their service, it may well be excellent. I am sure others may well have done and hopefully will come along with their thoughts.

You mention Kymco as a possible solution for your mobility scooter issues.

I have used a Kymco Midi Xls scooter for the last four years and have nothing
but praise for it. I used it heavily, much more than the average person and
it has coped perfectly with that heavy use. Just a service every year and
new batteries every two years and that is all you need. I have very restricted
and narrow access to my house and doorway so a small turning circle and
maneuverability were vital and it has passed every test.
A comfortable captains seat and excellent suspension make it a very
nice experience to use. It will do 25 miles per charge allowing several
troops in a day if you need.
I bought mine second hand for £ 650. Next time might even get a new one, or
the next model up the Kymco Agility.
They are superb!
