    Haha :D !

Just a quick tip, I just found dog food for Gwenny cheap(er) than anywhere on Amazon. Amazon’s prices change daily because they react to markets but, it’s a nice surprise, for today at least.

This is what I have to contend with daily. Whilst tidying up in the bedroom I turned to find the pillow I just moved & found it in the living room between the jaws of a waggy tailed red idiot :D

Price depends on the species…but yeah, I am getting one each of these:

A friend of mine had one of her tortoises stolen a few years ago. Apparently there’s a flourishing trade in tortoise-rustling, as they can fetch a high price in illicit sales. And I suppose a tortoise can’t easily run away from potential tortoise-nappers. :(

Hope you keep yours safe, Cassini! 8-)

    Aw thanks petered!!

Yep Tort-napping seems to be very common nowadays, especially as the reptile hobby has become more popular. They need to learn to bite…really hard!!

That was not a hint. Sorry, I would not put you under any pressure.

I just thought this was not possible as none of the other forums of this
    type have like buttons.

So, I am just thrilled it is even a possibility.

Oh no, there’s no bother – I have looked into it and it can be done so it’ll be something I’ll find time to do over the next few weeks :)

    Re: Pet photos

The news I’ve read this morning about the government being investigated is the only thing that’s made me smile in a couple of weeks. I’m very sorry to say we lost our beloved Gwenny to a tumour. She was ten years old. Gwen was my second Ridgeback. I lost the first, Lilly, also to a tumour. I just feel so sorry for these two big lovely red girls that they was taken this horrible way.

It’s awful coming into the living room every morning & not be greeted by a wagging tail or being woke by a big black nose in your face.

So, I think it’s a case of ‘when’ not ‘if’ we get another dog. I haven’t been without a Ridgeback for twenty years but, we’re not ready for another dog just yet. When we are, it will be a little chap a lot smaller than Gwenny was so to relieve my Brother, Andrew, of the dog walking duties. I think we’re going to look for a little fella that can either sit on one of our laps when we’re out on the chariot & scooter or walk alongside. I’ve found these sort of arms that attach to a bicycle (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Trixie-Deluxe-Dog-Walking-Wheel/dp/B001FVPSG4/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1442058462&sr=8-3&keywords=bike+dog+walking+leads http://www.amazon.co.uk/review/R2OE4NKN7NZMVJ/ref=cm_cr_dp_title?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B001FVPSG4&channel=detail-glance&nodeID=340840031&store=pet-supplies), under the seat on the seat post & from the part that extends out away from the bike it then takes a turn & angles down & you can attach a lead to it & Andrew’s going to adapt it to the chariot.

Bye, bye Gwenny. Thanks for the past ten years old friend. You have no idea how much it was my privilege to share your life with me x.

Gwenny, me Dad & me Niece, Olivia. I think Gwen & Olivia paused for the photo in between tag teaming with each other in a wrestling match against Dad. He lost.

I am so sorry that Gwenny has had to leave you. They do get deep under our skin, it takes a lot of adjusting to and you have some wonderful memories to try and ease some of the pain.

Pets are wonderful. You are their world and they give

It is gutting. We had a lot of good times together. The hardest part is when we come home. If Gwenny had been a good girl, there’d be this big, black, wet nose poking through the door as it opened to greet us. If she’d been bad ie rooting around for crisps, biscuits or generally something she shouldn’t have, she’d be further down the hallway, looking through the top of her head with a sheepish look about her. We miss that.

It’s just the way she was taken. It’s not fair & I felt so helpless. All I could do was make the decision to end her pain

So glad we got young Barney. I’ve tried throwing balls for him & soft toys. He tries bless him but, it’s different. I love animals, who couldn’t ? I like cats & dogs because they give you different things.

Gwenny was a big girl & I’m so glad she wasn’t capable of jumping around like Barney does in his futile attempt to catch flies, moths & daddy long legs. That is hilarious & endless fun !
