    Parent’s meetings

My son was recently diagnosed with Facioscapularhumerol Muscular Dystrophy.Hopefully I’ve spelt that right. I have heard that there are meetings at Great Ormond Street Hospital for the carers of children with Muscular Dystrophy. Does anyone know when the next one is scheduled to take place? We live in North London…
Thank you very much in advance. I could really do with learning a bit more about what is going on.

    Morning BudgieMum,

Have you been introduced to Martin Chainani, the Care Advisor at Great Ormond Street? I’m sure he can give you information about events at GOSH. He can be contacted on 020 7405 9200 ext. 0529 or chainm@gosh.nhs.uk

There is also a very active national FSH Support Group that offers support and information to people with FSH, as well as their carers, family and friends. You can contact the Chair, Karen Bayliss for more information at karen-fsh@hotmail.com or visit:
    http://www.fsh-group.org

Hope this helps, feel free to contact me if you have any other questions.

    Claire
