OPMD first signs
Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone can share their first symptom’s of OPMD and what age they started. I’m 42 and have started noticing swallowing issues.

Reply To: OPMD first signsHi, sian.my symptoms started in my early 50s first symptom was the eyes followed shortly with swallowing problems and some weakness in the upper legs. I’m in my late 50s and my problems a have got slightly worse but they are manageable.this runs in my family and the symptoms vary slightly in each family members. There is help out there, Ie,dietitians, speach and language, physiotherapy, you can also get an information pack about it. I do hope you find this helpful. Cc
