Nippy ST Plus: what software is your running?

I use a Nippy ST plus and yesterday my vent service visit occurred. Because my vent had done over 10,000 hours it had to be replaced. I was given the same model replacement with same settings for IPAP, EPAP, Ti, and back up rate.

I put my vent on in the evening and discovered it felt totally different.

1) makes an annoying hum instead of a gentle swish noise
2) missing apnea alarms
3) super sensitive and blowing in / triggering every few seconds thinking i am initiating a breath
4) different beeps
5) my vent disconnect alarm used to go if my mask came off but now it only alarms if the pipe disconnects from the vent side of the circuit (so doesn’t alarm at all)

It’s been a nightmare.

I found out on the menu it says running version 1 software – which I don’t think is the latest and appears far to primitive.

What software version do you use if you have this vent? Are you aware vents might not be even running the best software? I had no idea but I’m sure that is the problem.

:UPDATE – Vent service chap came out and declared it possessed and swapped it for one that works! Also changed the mains cable as Air Products gave me a cable which was cut to the inside wires and all chewed up.
