    moving around in the heat

This summer when outside walking I have found that the increase in temperature when the sun comes out affects me quite quickly. It’s like flicking a switch, the energy drains from me and I need to focus hard on walking until I can find a bit of shade.
Being menopausal I generally dress as light as I can without risking getting cold legs when sitting, and layer the top half and lower legs. Perhaps the menopause plays a part too.
I wonder if anyone may have experienced something similar.

Hi there, that’s interesting. Thinking about it though i suppose people without md probably experience similar energy drops due to hot weather. I find the longer i walk for and that’s by no means any great length of time my legs feel like they have weights on them i also experience joint pains due to osteoarthritis which i feel maybe caused by the muscle wasting .i have gone out for evening walks a couple of times and i have the same problem even though it is a little cooler. hi Cc, I agree about the energy drops. Interesting to hear your experience of how it feels when you’re tiring, thanks. I’m thinking perhaps there’s more than one thing at play for me. best wishes
