hi,
I was a the Motability show in Edinburgh on Friday and the Kinross team had a Stand. its done on ice using regular stones, but with no brushing.
I’ve been a bit bored and I thought this would give me something to do over the winter months, but before I commit myself I would like to know how demanding it would be to someone with MD and if the cold of the ice rink is a big problem.

I don’t know about the cold as everyone is different, I would get cold just being on the ice for 15mins any longer and I’d look like someone from Blueman group As for stamina I guess that would depend on how strong you have to be to push the stones with the stick.
September 21, 2010 at 2:58 pm #76727Re: MD and SportI haven’t tried Curling but I’ve had a go at ” Boccia.” It was really good fun. It was originally started for people with CP I believe but there’s actually now a category for people with MD and the British team do really well in the paralympics.
