    Massage

just a quickie. i have LGMD and have been having sports massages every 4 weeks for the past 3 months – and they really seem to be helping me move easier.
does anyone out there know if i can get these on the NHS or do i need to keep paying for these privately?

Never been able to access regular physio or massage via NHS it does happen but waiting time is huge and you often have to pruve the benefit(not going to happen with MD) MD does not get better in any way that can be messured so the try not to make it available as they can fix more able people with just sore bits.

One good place I have been to is a Haven centre. they have other names. mine is attached to my local GPs and are lottery, charity and nhs funded. the are for any one with a life limiting condition altho the one I go to was originaly set up for MS and cancer patients and their familys. I have had sports massage, reiki aromatherapy and loga with them. ask your GP you never know. you somethimes have to wait for the therapy you want but they try to have you at something.
