    Married to someone with md

    Hi all,

I’m from across the pond and stumbled across this forum. I’m married to a wonderful woman who has md. We’ve been together for over 8 years and hace been through ups and downs and really would love to talk with others who have similar experiences. I’m sorry, IThis whole message might sound a bit awkward but I would love to hear from this community and foster a discussion for significant others of people with md. Thanks.

Hello. I am from London and am married to a very special man who has MD. We have been together for around 9 years. Life has its problems but somehow we have managed to get through them by trying to get as much support as possible whenever the need has arisen. I myself have a condition known as Osteogenesis Imperfecta. We somehow learn to try and understand each other’s difficulties, and it often amazes me how we think so much alike at times, going to speak the same thoughts. I suppose that is what is known as being soul mates. Although at the end of the day, life being as it is, and our coming from very different backgrounds means that although try as we may, we can never truly understand the depths of each other’s feelings. Nevertheless on counting my blessings I feel blessed that my husband is a part of my life.

Do you feel that the field of medicine in modern science will ever find a satisfactory cure for MD and other disabling conditions one day?
