Hi there, I have opmd. I’m in a high rise I have a balcony and a nice veiw. From a very young age I used to get bad panic attacks, my mum used to constantly say I would worry myself sick and truth is that was the only bad thing that happened. Until I got opmd had a bad time dealing with it I also have other health issues, but there is light at the end of the tunnel, I’m still here the sun is shining and now I don’t worry anymore. I Potter about in doors watch TV and play games on the computer, I only watch the news in the morning. If I say I don’t have the odd moment then I’d be a liar. So take a deep breath and relax because you will be fine and there loads of people that can help you, and finally find distractions you’ve come through the conditions you have so don’t let this one beat you. Bipap vent user here so high risk as well. I struggled first couple of weeks as what should have been busy few months was taken away abruptly. Your fear is understandable. Im more settled now and in a routine of pass times. TV eating well and exercising. From diatry point of view I’m probably benefiting.

I go up and down with it all. Like Fiona, feel more settled and have a routine which really helps me. Am keeping in touch with people via FaceTime, zoom and a number of other video messaging things. I didn’t realise just how many there are.

We are here for anyone that wants to chat on here, we are good listeners. For some it helps to write down how they are feeling – myself included and I’ve tried to keep a diary.

    Take care everyone!

    Break For Freedom………

The milk was tasting funny (frozen weeks ago)….

So I made break for freedom!

Fresh air, different scenery and some actual people.

    Funny old times.

(Got some crumpets and Marmite while I was there).
