Life Insurance

Hi,

Does anyone know of any life insurance brokers, or life insurance companies who have knowledge of MD or who can help with life insurance cover?

My fiance and I got our own flat last year, and my parents know some insurance brokers and asked them if they could assist me with an application, but gave my case to one of their advisers and she keeps messing the applications up with all the wrong information and she kept saying I had Multiple Sclerosis when I have written to her and told her its Muscular Dystrophy and some other errors. She then said that our insurance would be 20 x the normal amount due to my MD so I asked what information she had given and a lot of it was wrong and asked for instead of just getting medical reports from my doctors (as they know nothing about MD) that they also contact my MD doctor and sleep ventilation hospital.

I have Rigid Spine Syndrome and have been told that its very mild and not life threatening and won’t get worse but they always check my heart etc for piece of mind etc.

Anyway its taken 3 months to finally get papers through the check through the applications from the insurance companies and EVERYTHING is wrong apart from our names! On the applications she has ticked ‘no’ when it asked if I had Muscular Dystrophy, then later on says that I slept with a breathing machine but I’d never seen anyone about it and had never had any tests and had never had a sleep study! I spent over 3 hours on the phone to her and wrote everything to her as well.

Its not just one of the insurance companies who have got it wrong, all the applications I received have this information. Also on who to contact for medical notes it says that to ONLY contact my GP?!?

I’m taking this into my own hands now but didn’t know if anyone knew of any insurance companies that may be able to help if not
