Keeping hands warm!
Hi, I’m new to this site, my son is 19 years old with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. I’m sure this has been covered somewhere but does anyone have and ideas for keeping hands warm whilst using the controller on his power wheelchair? He doesn’t like gloves as he feels he can’t use the joystick properly. Was looking for some kind of warm huge glove (!) to keep his hand warm. He doesn’t necessarily need to see the controller as he know’s instinctively what he’s doing. Any ideas? Thank you

still cant find the other version.. but this would at least keep his hand dry and not slip on control and a towel could be tucked in on top of hand.
has he tried wheelchair “sports” gloves or “bike” gloves they fit better let hand move and give a splinting action as well as cut the wind.

Reply To: Keeping hands warm!I wear armlets that either come with or without a thumb hole. They are basically leg warmers for arms and mine are soft and stretchy solid they pull quite nicely over my knuckles but allow me to steer joystick still.
