Home Made Sofa Leaver Inspiration……….

Have posted about how the wonderful Regional Advisors have sent in
Care and Repair, all sorts of Occupational Therapy people, Medequip
and all and sundry to make mine a happy home.

All is happiness and light in that respect. Have every gadget and aid under
the sun and it all works perfectly.

Apart from one thing. They cannot get me to ditch my enormous and much loved green
Sofa. I have thirty odd Safety Grab-Rails but when I am in the big green thing as the settee
it’s so large I am by definition far from the nearest grabby rail thing and as time
has gone by with back and arm and shoulder pains getting particularly worse
this is more of an issue. The electric rauser chairs would work but I need all
my stuff on the Sofa cannot keep getting up and down.

Suddenly… Inspiration!

Looked at the wonderful job the “Bed Leaver” was doing. This is the answer.

Such a good idea, did not bother O.T.’s straight on Amazon ordered two of them. £ 20 each.
Delivered two days later straight into action works perfectly problem is solved!!!!

These bed leavers are sofa leavers as well… Two solid steel supports right by either side of me. Go
under the sofa cushions like they did on mattress and the steel pole goes right to floor
for complete stability. Swivel handle so as it is not in way when not “in action”.

This is the kind of things we have been saving up for!
