    Help and advice

I am having a lot of building work/decorating done at home. Does anyone know of somewhere near NW London where I can stay that has the sort of equipment required. Hoist, bed et cetera. The work will take 6 to 8 weeks. I thought about revitalise and other respite facilities. However, they are very expensive. Do you know if they do that sort of stay. They are mainly for holidays and a short break.
Whatever information you can give will be appreciated.

Whist I cannot comment about NW London as I live far away I wonder if I could suggest two things. Firstly, some residential holiday caravan parks have suitably equipped caravans for disabled fol. perhaps worth a look around at that possibility. Secondly do you get any money from the council that is to be used for such things as respite care. We certainly do in this backwater, perhaps you may too.

Thank you Mike. It seems I left it too late for holiday places.Yes, I do get help with care. However, not more than two weeks. Also the fact that I cannot give the council a fixed time for the work is a no-no, as they do not want an open ended agreement.
However, a friend has seemingly offered a solution.Fingers Crossed.

Please do let us know how you go on. I for one would be most interested.

Okay, seem to have somewhere sorted. Really now down to the social workers and particularly the OT. I need to get some equipment moved in. The time is tight as nothing in bureaucracy seems to go quickly.
