    Health insurance, travel insurance question

    Hi there,

Anybody know anything about getting onto a new insurance plan and what the usual string of exclusions are when it comes to muscular dystrophy? I’m sure we’re going to have some issues getting Dash covered (he is 5 with almost-asymptomatic BMD). The plan is Aetna but it is somehow in conjunction with BUPA and based in Saudi Arabia.. I realize this is completely obscure and it’s highly unlikely anyone can answer specifically, but I’d be interested to hear about other insurance coverage anyone has been able to get, or not been able to, and what their preexisting condition policy is.. I read something recently (just in general online somewhere, can’t remember where) about not being treated for 2 years for the condition that you have at which time they’d cover it. If you didn’t receive any treatment anywhere for the condition for 2 years.

(If there are already existing threads on insurance and Pre-ECs then do kindly direct me there and I thank you. Having trouble with the search facility on this site, can’t get it to find anything. Although I’m sure this has been talked about before)

    Thank-you ! :new:

Blighters turned me down twice in a week recently.

Did not get into the detail but they just do not want to take a risk.#

ive always gone with the post office. I only paid an extra £26.00 premium, to cover me for my pacemaker and against strokes. check them out, they are quite reasonable

I couldnt get life insurance for mortgage or travel… and being turned down for one company I was automatically turned down for all I tried. the only guide the had for MD was Duchene and would tailor to my MD. and wouldnt listen to reason that they are all different wasnt even the vent that did it.

got employment insurance but not sure if it will actually pay out or not.

morning peeps. ive been checking out insuring my chair and I came across this company. they seem pretty reasonable.
I noticed that they do all sorts of different types of insurance, that is catered for disabled people.
