    from a care worker…

    hello,
    george in sussex,care worker, just about to start work for a guy
    with MD – he has a tracheostomy and is in hospital at the mo’.
    can anybody give me some advice on MD and how it affects people?
    i think the info on this site is a bit basic and general….

    Hi George, do you know what type of MD your client has i.e Duchene, Limb Girdle, Beckers. I ask because each one has different effects and they can effect people differently, no 2 people with the same MD will be effected exactly the same. If we know the type we can give you more information specific to that type of MD and the effects you may encounter.

    i am waiting for a training day in a london hospital b4 starting work – the question was just a kind of hello!!
