    Finding a mate

Most everyone in my family has FSH MD. I have a 28 year old son that I’m watching deteriorate. When he was in high school he had girlfriends but now any that he has asked won’t go out with him. He is a very nice looking young man but extremely thin. He is wasting. I am worried that when I am gone there will be no one to care for him. I would do anything to make his life better. He is to young to not feel like he will never find someone. We live in a very rural area and he hardly ever leaves home. He does have some good friends that visit. Any suggestions on how he could meet someone that could see past this terrible condition he has. I cry for him.

Are there any clubs he could join maybe? Or maybe a disabled dating site?

most of us are isolated and excluded from regular life to some degree. best advice I would give is for him to hang on to his mates and try and enable him to go out with them to the pub etc and visit them, hes more likely to meet someone within that circle or via them than any other. due to ill health and pals all starting family s I have lost touch with all my friends and its a social lifeline I miss.

If he doesn’t drive I would strongly suggest he learn particularly living in a rural area.

He does drive but hardly ever leaves because he is not physically comfortable anywhere but home. He strongly dislikes bars…his dad was an alcoholic. The pressure changes affect him terribly. He is on OxyContin for pain. His friends visit a few times a week but we live where the population is very small. He has tried dating sites but most all live to far away. He won’t go swimming anymore because people stare. At 6’1″ he only weighs 120 lbs. It tears my heart out.

Thank you for your advice. Unfortunately we are more than twenty miles from any college and we live in snow country where the weather is bad a lot.
