Family testing

    Family testing

    My family have never been offered testing. I have read about families being tested but was given the brush off by docs when i brought it up.

    I am a bit concerned, probably my imagination but I have noticed MD signs in my mother and uncle

    worried but don’t want to concern of upset anyone.

    Hi Cat

    I believe the Southern has a Geneticist to attends the Muscle Clinic might be worth asking to have a chat. I think if your family could be affected then at least a discussion about risks and testing might be in order. The testing can only be done if they know the type to look for. I was denied discussion with a Geneticist as my type is unknown. It does worry me know.

    Let me know how you get on but I do think you should pursue it.
