    How easy do you all find it to book appointments for it? And does it have any side effects? I know my friend who gets the flu jab gets all the symptoms for two days afterwards and then she’s protected for the winter.

    The Flu jag doesn’t give the flu although you may feel a bit hot or bruised on the sight.

    Appointment methods differ greatly from practice or health board. Mine used to be a non appointment open day on a Saturday. Now its appointment only and has a priority order. First 2 weeks in October is now over 60s only. I hopefully will get lettered soon.

    You don’t have to wait to go to your GP; most pharmacies offer the free flu jabs. I got mine done at a Tesco pharmacy before work. Otherwise, I would have had to wait till the end of October.
