    Cramp

I am having an issue with cramp in my feet. Since I was a teenager I have had cramps in my toes occasionally. I thought nothing of it and never bothered doctors with it. In the last few years I have had a problem with a cramp/pain in my left leg which I cannot predict when or why it happens. My feeling is it’s more a nerve issue probably from my back and my poor posture.
In the last six months I have had seven cramps In my feet. Two in my left foot and five, one severe in my right foot. All have felt similar. my foot bends, toes downwards and I get a pain in the underside of my foot. It feels like someone is pushing something into the bottom of my foot about the size of a knuckle or thumb.
However, I had an attack last night[1 Jan] that I would say was severe. Again my toes bent over and my foot raised off the bed and felt like it was trying to form an ‘O’. After about 5 seconds it subsided. When it did it felt like someone was releasing a blood pressure cuff. It stayed uncomfortable for about 5 more minutes and in the morning it still felt stiff. My feet don’t look different and I don’t have swollen ankles. My toe cramps have not increased.
Any advice any input? I will contact the doctors after the holiday. However, your views are welcome.

Thank you for the reply Jeanette. I get back pain. However, and to my relief not as bad as it used to be. I had one spell a few years back where I used to fear moving in the morning as it was so painful. I hope your pain eases.
