It appears that we are to be the lucky recipients of the ten pounds Christmas bonus courtesy of those zany funsters at DLA HQ, hooray!
I am sure that by now most of you will be overcome with excitement and planning the mother of all shopping sprees but i would advise a different course of action…
My advice would be to frame it in a prominent place in your front room so that you can gaze longingly at it in years to come as the Christmas bonus will be just a fading memory, maybe it was merely a dream? No it can’t be because there up on the wall, next to the Jack Vettriano print and the 50 meter bronze swimming certificate is the proof from halcyon days of plenty.

November 27, 2010 at 6:16 pm #77676Re: Christmas BonusMmmm, ten quid – what shall I do with mine? Alcohol would probably be beneficial in this weather… *logs on to look for deals and amend Tesco order*. Or maybe another few pairs of heat holder socks? Decisions…

I like the way the letter goes onto say words to the effect “we might reassess you and take away your DLA altogether”…very touching! I wonder how many people phone them up worriedly thinking they will lose their DLA after the letter though?
