I don’t post very often and can go months without visiting the forum. I wouldn’t consider myself a newbie or a regular. part timer is probably too much to describe my status. I’m not sure how many posts I’ve got but I know I’ve had some deep and meaningful conversations with a lot of people on here. I gotta agree with Shelly on quality vs quantity.

How about making posts more immediate, than waiting days to appear!!

Sincerest apologies for not clicking the right buttons sooner to approve your much welcomed posts and get them onto the board. Hopefully once you have posted the requisite number of times [5 I think] your posts will no longer require a moderator/administrator to read and approve. We sadly had to put this in place because of the number of spam posts we were getting daily [often hundreds] many of inappropriate nature.

Again my apologies for the delay, we will endeavour to improve :)

Thanks for that, don’t think it says anywhere about requisite number of posts. Fair enough though a sensible option.

    Hi Alun,

I am so sorry that you had to wait so long for us to publish your posts on to the boards. We always try to get to posts as quickly as possible and apologise that we couldn’t approve yours sooner.

I have now entered a statement on to the ‘Forum Rules’ thread explaining that the first 5 posts of any newly registered member will be moderated. As AMGmod said, this is so we can nip spammers in the bud before they flood the boards with nonsense. I will also aim to get a thread/announcement posted in the ‘Introductions’ board to increase the likelihood that it’s viewed by new members.

    Thanks,

    Cassini
