Can anyone tell me where to purchase electric beds from?

Because of my acid reflux I would really like to get an electric bed to get rid of my Barrett’s esophagus.

Does anyone know where I can purchase one in the uk? And how much would it be? I was told I can’t have it by charity because you need to have really bad bed sores. And I do have bed sores  :bang:

Would I be able to keep my normal mattress?

Goodness! Sorry you have this worry.

How about Betterlife, they seem to do several and have
    a good name:-

Think you can use your own mattress. I was surprised that
all my bedding fitted my profiling bed, so the mattress
should fit too. It would have to be rather flexible though!

My bed is from Bakare and is a Queen size. Mine was £3290 in 2014.

    Double Electric Adjustable Beds

Centrol bed is a popular brand https://www.centrobed.com/Beds__Cots/

depending on your needs. if You only need the head to raise you could get a cheaper option from archers sleep centre.
http://www.archerssleepcentre.co.uk/Single-Electric-Adjustable-Beds-c389 Just bear in mind if you have a hoist that bed has the correct ground clearance for hoist going under.

I would also consider asking the Joseph Patrick Trust and your OT about a profile bed. the OT or NHS will only consider a single. Your Respiratory and Neuro could support this request. the Respiratory for the Breathing. Neuro for positioning etc. I would also point out that a profile bed is essential if you have carers. To reduce the risk of injury to you or carer when being transferred or turned.

Mattress. You can keep your mattress if its the right length. Profile beds are longer than normal beds. Although you get sprung mattresses on beds from Archers you cant really use a conventional Sprung as with the movement of bed. the Springs go as mattress is folded.

EBAY/gumtree. you can pick up ex demo, end of lines as well as people selling nearly new. Search for Profile beds. Electric Adjustable bed.
