    BIPAP masks

    Hi

Anyone know of small and discrete BIPAP masks. I currently use a full face mask but needing daytime vent support more currently so I am looking for something more discrete to use at work. I know you can get nasal pillows but not sure I would get on well with them or how small they were – ie do u still need all the straps to keep them in place?

Been searchng resmed website etc but not seen what im looking for.

    Thanks in advance.

I have found the nasal pillow is much better for the day. I use a nasal mask at night with soft cap headgear. The nasal pillow shows much more of my face and it wasn’t too long before I was used to it. The pillows come in three sizes so you choose which fits in your nostrils the best. It is held on by two strap – one material one that Velcro fastens and the other plastic with notches you can tighten so that it fits just right. I would say it is the most discrete I have seen, certainly more than the nasal and face masks I’ve seen.

    HI Sarah

Can you tell me more about the nasal pillow. I have asked my vent team about smaller masks for daytime use and been told they all come with the cumbersome headgear.

    Thanks

    Hi Gill

Here is a link to the site:

I wouldn’t say it is cumbersome, I find it very easy to wear. It did take a few days to get used the things that sit in your nostrils – they have to be positioned just right.
