    Autosomal recessive inheritance

    So if I have limb-girdle type 2 and my wife is not a carrier or effected does that mean my son will not be effected?

    Hello and welcome Jo. Whilst an internet search will reveal a number of great info sheets on this problem, I would suggest that if you are going to base important decisions around its outcome that you should at the very least discuss it with your GP, and if necessary a geneticist. There may well be other complicating factors of which your are unaware and it would be important to rule any of these out.
