I got back into gaming about 2 years ago after not playing for ten years plus as my hands are pretty much useless with md or so i thought i had been looking into it and my mate spurred me on so i went for it got an xbox for christmas and a xbox adaptive controller and had been in touch with special effects who loaned me a chin controller and micro switches and a big clamp i’ll put a video in at the end so with crimbo day 2020 done it was time to set this up so opens up the xbox fires it up and let it download forza horizon 4 while i get the rest set up i already had a table so fixed the clamp to it for the chin controller and set the chin control to where i need it and plug it into the adaptive controller now to anyone who hasn’t been a gamer the adaptive controller basically has 3mm jack holes all along the back which are the xbox pad buttons which the micro switches go into but you can use all manner of switches i can put a link in if any ones interested, at this point i only had two micro switches this was my first set up but it worked brilliantly for horizon 4 anyway skip to the next day i nervously get the chin controller set in front of me and get the micro switches in my right hand it’s the hand that works best so one switch i put between my index finger and thumb and the other between my pinky and the one next to it can’t remember that fingers name this is how it works best for me, so when i first started playing i was terrible which was expected but im quite impatient at times lol but my mate shayne helped me as i didn’t know you can change the steering sensitivity well you can check change every button on horizon 4 so a few months went by i got better and better at playing never thought id play on line with a mic but i do now and i love it im no expert but i reckon i play pretty well, so that was great but when it came to playing grand theft auto 5 my setup wasn’t cutting it as you really need all the buttons on the pad so i started looking at the quadstick but at 500 dollars or close to you can imagine i was apprehensive about buying something that might not work, spoke to special effects who have loaned me one and wow it’s completely changed my gaming experience i can’t lie i couldnt quite work out the quadstick out at first but shayne my mate came and helped me work out what button done what and from there i totally fell in love with the quadstick it basically works by sipping and puffing on the controller to press buttons i use it along with my adaptive controller as i find that easier to accelerate and break with buttons anyway any questions about it ask away i can put videos of me using it if anyone wants to see.

To me, nothing is better than playing “Wonderboy” on the Sega Master System. OK, alcohol and a pepperoni and mushroom pizza probably wins…

I am thinking about getting the cd rom attachment for my Mega Drive, but they seem to be quite dear atm. Sega also launched a X32 upgrade as a stopgap to the still under development 32 bit consoles back in the day.
