Ok, thanks. I had no idea & tbh it doesn’t look like a sealed unit. It’ black plastic but, I wouldn’t take the risk had you not told me & just accepted the advice from the wheel chair lady. Still, the cushions & back rest outer covers are not waterproof. So, both I & them need something to cover us other than a coat to keep me warm. Especially when they cost so much. It’s a very new & expensive world of wheel chairs I have to get used to.

I hope this isn’t getting to far from the thread topic but, does anybody have that they can recommend or know where I can get like a bag that fits on the arm ? I need somewhere to store a collapsed walking stick & it’s no good mounting it on the rear as I can’t reach it. Hoping this is somewhere to store any waterproof cover I get too

Thanks Amethyst ! I’ve ordered the control cover & some groovy gloves but, I found a bag elsewhere to mount on the arm that has a sleeve specifically for walking sticks. Happy days. I appreciate your link & help, cheers

I have an electric scooter which I use bedecked in highheels, sometimes but really need an electric wheelchair as it’s becoming too difficult to use.Dont be embaressed or feel ashamed you will feel so much more free and independent. I used to turn heads in mine lol!
Sorry for my rambling and spelling mistakes I’m just so angry at all your plights whilst feeling sorry for myself too.
We should all shake ourselves down and come out fighting!
Maybe we could have a giant social meet up hire a whole hotel, so we don’t feel different! Get drunk have wheelchair races in the corridors, strut our stuff on the dance floor, Flirt! Enjoy casuall sex! And generally behave as disgracefully as the rest of society! Lol! & have FUN!
