“How much motivation would you require to run the London Marathon? If you asked Gary O’Donnell, he would probably tell you he has all the motivation he needs. Nearly two years ago his wife Nikki was diagnosed with Pompe, a rare form of Muscular Dystrophy. I went to meet Gary, Nikki and Tommy, their son, and to talk to them about the disease, how it has impacted on their life – and Gary’s preparations for the Virgin London Marathon.”
