    Waterless bathing products

Has anyone tried Nilaqua? They are a range of waterless soaps and shampoos designed to alleviate the stress of bathing. Kind and gentle to the skin, and ideal for people who have difficulty bathing.

Nilaqua are offering our supporters a fantastic 15% off online, using MD12 at the checkout. Visit http://www.norinse.co.uk/home.php

Interesting …. I often use the hand gel to ‘wash’ my hands, first got them when I was visiting the USA about a decade ago, a lovely shop called Bath & Body used to make/sell them but not any more, now I use Carex. I had seen the adverts for the ‘dry’ shampoo but someone ho used it said that all it did was delay the need to wash the hair ‘properly’ by a day or two.

I shall have to investigate – be a great alternative when not at home and the ‘disabled’ facilities are not exactly convenient for us MD-ers.

    Thanks Helen :D

Interesting… I already use a dry shampoo which is so useful – I have a mini panic when I run out it is that essential!!

When I saw this post, the thing that jumped to mind was “Here is something to use to wash that hard to reach place when standing/sitting in the shower/bath, my lower legs and feet” … I have been in the habit of using a wet wipe [cheap ones from Wilkinsons] and thought I would give their no-rinse-body-wash a whirl.

The web site was straight forward and easy to use, the videos of the product in use were clear and informative so I popped one into my basket, remembered to use the promo code :P, checked out and waited patiently. The 200 ml bottle arrived two days later [bravo Royal Mail], well packed in a padded envelope and looking all inviting.

I took the dry face cloth and Nilaqua to the bedroom and got positioned. The liquid is clear and very consistent with water, it has a mild unisex soap like aroma, not too heavy but enough to know it is soapy. I rubbed it into my skin and then used the facecloth to towel dry as best I could. The areas felt clean and washed without feeling damp or greasy. I hate the bottom of my feet being wet or moisturised as it just makes me slide even on carpet. I have done this two or three times now, an it is much more satisfactory than a wet wipe. However my feet have areas that are very dry and hard, sadly nothing but a long soak in hot warmer helps the areas but all in all I was pleased with the results.

The 200 ml bottle was £4.45 [£3.78 after discount], postage was £2.90 making a total spend for me of £6.68. I only ordered one, but you can get 2 sent for the same postage costs, and if you choose 3 the postage increases to £4.

No I havent. There are one or two waterless shampo products around, from what I have heard they are alright to use once or twice but then you need to go back to the shower/bath hair washing.

Thank you :) I use dry shampoo occasionally, but was looking to see whether this would be better for days when I’m tired/unwell/in pain and unable to shower, or for when I’m on holiday.

Thank you for posting this. :D
This would be a great product for when I am in hospital or to unwell to get in the shower.
