Do you have muscular Dystrophy or a neuro muscular condition yourself? Are you UK based?
In the UK our ventilators are a prescription items which are supplied and maintained by our National Health Service Respiratory departments. With it being progressive muscle weakness it is more commonly Bipap systems that are prescribed to maintain our airways and blood gases as its hypo ventilation rather than sleep apnoea.
Its always nice to read blogs with other peoples accounts and choices of equipment and accessories available. If anyone is considering ordering mask supplies or bipap equipment from overseas please be aware that some items may not pass our medicine controls dept rules. I once had a mask sent from the US and it was stopped at customs. In some cases the duty or Vat will also be added on at customs should it be stopped.
