    Trailblazers report forces airline to move on policy

    An investigation by Trailblazers has revealed that leading airline EasyJet has refused to allow people with powered wheelchairs on their flights, citing health and safety as the reason.

    Shockingly, the airline has refused to let wheelchairs over 60kg (with batteries removed) on to its planes, ruling out most powered wheelchairs, which weigh an average of 122kg, even though other airlines using the same planes allow them on even on short haul flights.

    I was not aware of any such restrictions, thanks for pointing this out. One of the few affordable airlines that flies to Tallinn is of course Easyjet, which means I may not be able to get to Estonia ever again. Until now I would of championed them because they’ve bent over backwards to help me the two times I’ve been there & also been as helpful To Kristel when she travelled via Easyjet to see me. I haven’t travelled with a chair yet so I’ll have to deal with it when the time comes
