    Research Invitation

    Dear TalkMD member,

    My name is Oonagh Meade and I am a PhD student at the Institute of Work, Health and Organisations at the University of Nottingham. As part of my research I am conducting an online study which is exploring the effects of using TalkMD for members who have muscular disease and their family carers.

    Participation in this study initially involves completing a survey about your reasons for joining Talk MD and about your emotional well-being. You will then be invited to fill out a similar questionnaire at three months and six months after you join the study. The questionnaires at three and six months will ask you about your experiences of using TalkMD and will ask you about your emotional well-being.

    Ethical approval for this study has been gained from the ethics committee at the Institute of Work, Health and Organisations at the University of Nottingham.

    Hi everyone,

    Thank you to any members who have already taken part in the above survey. We are still looking for more TalkMD members to complete the survey so we would be delighted if you would consider taking part.

    I am pleased to announce that members who complete the survey will have the chance to enter a prize draw to win one of two £50 amazon.co.uk vouchers!

    If you have already completed the survey and provided an e-mail address you will automatically be entered in to the prize draw. If you completed the survey but did not provide an e-mail address you can still contact me at lwxom2@nottingham.ac.uk quoting your participant password and I will enter you into the draw.

    The deadline for participating in the survey has now been extended until the 5th of April and the prize draw will take place on the 6th of April. Prize draw winners will be notified by e-mail.
