    Pensions – Automatic Enrolment

    If like me you employ your own carers then you are an employer and have certain responsibilities as one. One of these is the new pension automatic enrolment scheme, you are required by law to provide and automatically enrol any employees who qualify into a work place pension scheme, this applies even if you have one carer. It does not apply if you pay a care agency to provide you care.

    I must admit, when I saw the adverts I wondered how the disabled employing carers would be affected.

    I don’t need to start prepairing until 2017 but its a good idea to have a read up now
