    Offered surgery

    Hello everyone
just an update on me. I have been offered a surgical consalt for a scapula fixation or I think he called it a scapulodesis.
My appointment is in about a month, so hope things go well. :D

Hi I have been looking all over to find someone who has been through it or going through it.. so nice to find this post I have just been to see a surgeon for the scapulorthoracic fusion but wasnt sure about what to do as its such a long time recovery, i have been watching the videos on youtube of the operation and it looks pretty serious stuff.. but the guy i saw said that he doesnt use the wires aroung the ribs and that he uses screws instead so its more secure.
do you know what way you will be having yours done?
He said that i could have it done and go home within 3 days. which sounds a bit short. will you be staying in hospital for the 6 weeks to recover?where is it your having the op done and whos the surgeon??

    Kind Regards

    Adam
