Nick Clegg has denied he’s being used as a Tory “puppet”. And said he needed to be “big and brave enough” to make the Coalition work.
Hope he has the courage to fight for people living with muscle disease.

Nick Clegg’s idea of what is best for Britian probably comes nowhere close to what we think is best for Britain. Instead of making bold statements I’d like to know what he actually intends to do but that’s probably not as pretty!

The Government says there have to be cuts, and Joe P knows there have to be cuts to make the books balance, but the amounts, terms, actual losses are not intentionally specifically mentioned, the media does that. Those wonerdful elastic words such as ‘might’, ‘possibly’, ‘reasonableness’, ‘potentially’, are strategically deployed so when Paxman has them on the ropes the politicians can argue that they did not actually say xyz.
At the end of it all someone has to put enough money in the pot for the services to spend.

The scale of these impending cuts is massive and unprecedented. There is no scenario other than that the disabled will be disproportionately targeted. They cannot fight back and have far less “clout”. Suddenly there are all these documentaries on benefit cheats. The average persons sees this and blindly agrees with the right wing media that Welfare must bear the brunt of the cuts. For politicians to start talking about “lifestyle choices” is morally repugnant. I fear the disabled will be easy targets and be engulfed by a tide of political hysteria.

They don’t need any excuse to forget those
