Having great fun trying out Gadgo number one from the Adaptation Centre, the “Adjustable Backrest” :-

    http://www.manageathome.co.uk/pd/Adjustable-Backrest_10015.htm

It has taught me a new word. I am pleased to find that I am able to sleep “semi-recumbent”. This
makes breathing and choking issues easier and gives a whole lot of new options. I realise I have been keeping
my old bed needlessly, just because it had a supportive headboard. Now the demos of the profiling beds
have much more meaning and must be the next step. Backrest will not be wasted as It also works well on a
sofa or with a couple of pillows, the floor is suddenly a comfortable resting place that I cannot fall off!

Do any of you sleep “semi-recumbent” ?

I sleep all night with the head end of my bed tilted – it helps with indigestion/reflux, comfort and prevents the nasal drip and sinus issue I get if I lay flat.

Lots more reasons, glad you have found a way to deal with all these.

Pleased it helps with the reflux too. Still not sure of exact right angle, going trial and error.

Gadgo number two from the Motex Centre.

    The Toast Spreader !

    http://www.healthcare.co.uk/around-the-home/handy-worktop-spreader-board.html

Very simple non mechanical item that simply holds your toast or bread in place so
you can spread away in confidence.

Finally an end to my constant dilemma, do I scrape the dust and floor detritus off or throw away ?
