New "Light Touch" Assesments for PIP…

    Just amazing news!

The Government now has very clearly stated that there will be
a completely new and fair way of assessing people with
    long-term incurable diseases.

After years of people suffering nightmare reassessment after
reassessment there is a complete change of emphasis. Very
simply for people in this category there will be “Light Touch”
reviews every ten years or so (some are reporting), maybe
just a contract to check you are still living at the same address.

Too good to be true? It is clearly on the gov.uk site.

Will MD be included in this. Surely it is an incurable,
    long-trem disease.

Reading a report that says IDS has shot himself (I think
    that says shot himself).

Great news, if we believe it. I am not as optimistic as you as I feel this government are too sly to be trusted, certainly where disability is concerned. It would indeed be wonderful to believe that those doing the assessment, usually without adequate experience, would put our needs first. Time will tell. Thank you so much for bringing it to our attention.
