    You my have already come across this but there are some fundraising tips from MDC.

    Also, I believe each region has a volunteer fundraiser manager who you can email if you have any questions.

    Both your event ideas sound brill – there are some downloadable packs for quizzes called Question of Support should you be interested.

    If you go to the fundraising section for your region you should find contact details plus the downloads.
