There is an interesting article in this month’s National Geographic magazine about manipulation of DNA to help eradicate and cure varioous illnesses. it even mentions muscular dystrophy! As usual these articles are informatibve and well written and can help you undertsand what exactly is going on in those research clincis on our behalf.
It is also interesting to note that one of the biggest restrictions to progress are human beings. theya re afraid of the consequences of introducing modified DNA into the gene pool. Something that happens every day with each new birth. But thats a whole bew arguement.Mike
