    My Umbrella Dilemma

For about a year now I’ve been looking around for an umbrella I can work. My issue is I don’t have the finger and hand strength to put up the standard umbrella. I can hold it once it’s up and on some put them down if I use all my might. But putting it up is what’s really important lol. Does anyone know of where I can find an easier umbrella?

Aren’t there some umbrellas that have a button release to open them … but if rusty memory recalls they were quite hard to fold back again.

I got a good one from premark at about a fiver.

Its about the length of a walking stick and when its up its a clear dome shape- its sturdier than ones that fold down as the post is thicker than the folding type. I needed the dome shape as the wider one tends to stab peeps as I wizz past on my scooter. and the close catch is ok. I also have bother with pinch finger strength and have poor arm reach.

Amazon has the auto close and opening type auto umbrellas.. very cool but not a fiver ;) http://www.amazon.co.uk/VICTORINOX-TITANIUM-FOLDING-UMBRELLA-FRAME-Black/dp/B002QNRKMK/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1313345258&sr=8-4

Also found some cheaper ones http://www.amazon.co.uk/Galleria-auto-folding-umbrella-Flamingo/dp/B0054J841Y/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1313345258&sr=8-5

Well I bought myself an auto open/close brolly and it arrived a few days ago. To my absolute delight I can work the button! Only thing is they sent out a faulty one, the button no longer works and you have to force the brolly down and have someone HOLD it down for me to tie the strap around. Just my luck! So I’m returning it. But once I get the replacement all systems go :D Couldn’t be happier with the result. Thanks again to everyone that advised :)
