    MD in Russia

    Hello everybody!
My name is Marina and I am 30 years old. I live in Russia, St.-Petersburg. I have had LGMD (Limb-girdle muscular dystrophy) for more than 15 years. Nevertheless I am happy to have two children, boys – Gregory (5 y.o.) and Nikolas (1 month only), a wonderful husband and some other members of the family and friends who support me.
I was happy to find Talk MD because there is a lot of useful and interesting information.
I also have my own blog about difficulties of living with MD in Russia, you are welcome – http://disabledmum.com/

Welcome to the Forum Marina. We are glad you have found us.

I have enjoyed reading your blog and can see you are doing a very good job of coping
responsibly with your disability. Even superb pictures of your children and mum.

We have posters with Limb Girdle, so feel free to ask any questions or just browse away
or in difficult times have a rant. The main MDC site is avaiable by clicking to logo at the top
    and has even more information.

Hi Marina and welcome to the forum. I have just read your blog and I think you cope really well with your sons. I can understand how difficult is must be for you. I have Mitochondrial Myopathy and have alot of the same symptoms as you and I know I couldn’t cope with two little children. My daughter is 31 so I only have to think about the possibility of grand children now.

    Best wishes
    Val
